The holidays are over but lots of us will still be checking out the end of year sales even after spending a ton of cash on those Christmas gifts. Let's face it, January is going to be pretty tight cash-wise and these three sites are going come in pretty handy.
RAKUTEN

Rakuten formerly Ebates is considered one of the best cash-back and shopping rewards sites. First established in 1998, Rakuten earns its revenue similar to that of an affiliate site. When members use links to purchase stuff from retail stores, Rakuten receives a commission which it then shares with the member.
To start earning rewards is pretty easy. Here is how it works:
(1) Sign up for an account. You can use an email or Facebook account.
(2) Shop as usual using the store links on the Rakuten Rewards site.
(3) Get Cash back on qualifying purchases.

Earn up to 40% off at over 2500 stores without any hassle. Shop, they get paid and you get paid. Simple.

Rakuten also has a mobile app for both Apple and Android. There is also an affiliate program you can refer to friends and family and earn up to $25. All you have to do is refer a friend. When they join and spend $25, you get $25 and they get $10.

Rakuten also works on in-stores purchases at select stores.

HONEY

Honey is a notable coupon site. It was founded in 2012 and was recently acquired by Paypal. Honey is the newest site among this list but it has been doing pretty well. Its structure is similar to that of Rakuten. When the member does a transaction on the participating retail site, Honey earns commission and the member gets a share.
Honey has a handy browser extension for Google Chrome which notifies users of price drops on items in their carts and price history on selected items sold by participating online stores. You can use to compare prices among sellers and get the best deals on your purchases.

Honey finds you the best discount codes on the internet.
Sign up is easy and free, just use email or Facebook. Shop using the honey extension. Save and Earn. The app supports both apple and android.

BEFRUGAL

Last but not least Befrugal. Founded in 2009, it can be considered another major online coupon and cashback website. Like the two previous sites, Befrugal has the same cash back structure. However unlike other sites Befrugal automatically applies the best discount coupons without the user having to search for them.
Similar to Rakuten it also has the Refer a friend and earn incentive but the payout is lower. You will earn $10 for referral instead of $25.
Befrugal goes beyond just retail stores. On the main site it has a handle tool called Fly or Drive which calculates which opinion is cheaper for your pocket. The calculation is based on your vehicle and route, factoring in tolls, hotel, and potential cab cost to and from the airport.
